Administration – This refers to the processing and organisation of almost any operation that ties a bank or financial organisation together as a business.
Background check – In-house HR departments outsource carry out investigations on prospective candidates for roles at the company, or sometimes outsource this task to external parties. A background check may also involve reference checks; the HR representative will contact a candidate’s former employer or perhaps a tutor to check on their credentials.
Filtering – HR representatives will sift through applications for advertised positions with the company and pick out potential candidates to take to the next stage of their recruitment processes.
Generalist – As the name suggests, generalists in HR can cover the majority of areas within the HR department.
Human capital – A term to express the value people hold for a business, encapsulating their skills, knowledge, work rate and competencies.
