Whether you want to be an accountant, investment banker or financial analyst, there’s likely to a role for you as finance vacancies were up 22% in the third quarter of 2014, a 22% rise on the same period in 2013; winner!
There were a grand total of 33,000 jobs created in City finance in 2014, a rise of 18% on 2013 – it doesn’t get much better than that.
Adam Jackson, managing director of Astbury Marsden, said that finance recruitment had “gathered strong momentum”. But he warned that hiring will focus on quality, not quantity, as was the case before the financial crisis.
