Graduate Jobs

Professional qualifications: Trainees study for the ACA qualification with the ICAEW. External classroom study is scheduled for a block period of one to two weeks, after which trainees report back at the office. Classroom study lasts for about 20 weeks in the 36-month training period, followed by another 15-20 hours of self-study.

The training contract runs for a period of three years covering preparation for professional qualifications, hands-on work experience and in-house trainee development. Trainees will be placed within any of the following business groups within the London, Birmingham or Thames Valley offices for their three years on the training contract for practical work experience.

Corporate Audit: Servicing the international business group and shipping sub-division and the finance, general business and property sub-divisions.

Business Tax: Corporate tax work for firm’s clients, including tax consultancy and compliance.

Private Client Tax: Personal tax matters for individual clients or tax strategies pertaining to compensation for companies.

Insurance: Covering insurance accounting systems and regulatory compliance.

International Institutions and Donor Assurance: Consultancy and audit services to the public sector organisations in the UK, Europe and across the world. Trainees work in teams carrying out external audits in partnership with the National Audit Office within the UK and on audits and investigations for the EU.

In-house trainee development: Regular training sessions over and above training for professional exams, running for a period of six weeks covering business, technical, presentation and other necessary skills, as well as business simulations, money laundering and other relevant practice content.

Joining Moore Stephens LLP’s AAT programme will allow you to gain a recognised qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians and build your experience in the profession.

We are looking to recruit into a number of different areas, including;

Business Support & Outsourcing

This team provides clients with the full range of accounting and back office services, including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, management accounting, VAT compliance, forecasting and budgeting, and any other ad hoc accounting advice and assistance.


This team provides advice on a wide range of issues, including loss- reserving, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, litigation support and forensic accounting. Clients include London underwriters, P&I clubs and other mutuals, reinsurance companies, London market and retail brokers.

Audit Services

You’ll join a pool of trainees who provide audit and accounting services to managers and partners

The firm hires graduate recruits who have a minimum of 300 UCAS points at A-levels and a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline. Candidates must also demonstrate a high level of commercial and business awareness, strong communication skills and commitment to hard work, clearing professional exams in the first attempt and outstanding intellectual ability.
