Internships, industrial placements, graduate, and post-graduate programmes.

Our training programmes offer you the opportunity to gain a professional qualification whilst earning a competitive salary and gaining invaluable experience. There are many exciting opportunities ranging from external audit, internal audit, tax, accounting and outsourcing services, consulting, actuarial services and financial planning.

The Graduate Development Programme is offered in three business divisions—accounting, financial planning and taxation. The programme combines on-the-job practical work experience, firm wide in-house training and preparation for professional qualifications as Associate Chartered Accountants (from ICAEW); Chartered Accountants (from ICAS); Chartered Tax Advisor (from CTA) and Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) and Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC).

The CA and Tax Advisor programme runs over three years, while the Financial Advisor programme takes two years for the FPC and an additional five years for the APFC.

We support all of our trainees with a blended approach to training and development, from professional study support via a leading professional education provider, to on-the-job learning, classroom study, and 1:1 coaching and support.

Internships & Placements

While there is no bespoke internship programme which is conducted across the UK, a few of the offices may induct interns for short-term placements, based on business requirements. Details of such openings can be obtained from the graduate recruitment team via the process listed in the ‘How to Apply?’ section.

Apprenticeships

There are no apprenticeships available at Mazars but they do offer a range of school leaver opportunities.

At Mazars you can train to become an Audit, Tax or Accounting professional. You will receive a full study package and time off to attend college but, with Mazars your professional qualification is only part of the story. We support all of our trainees with a blended approach to training and development, and as you progress, technical and skills training to enable you to progress to management and leadership positions.

My Health and Wellbeing

We offer a range of health benefits including, dental insurance, health screenings and a health cash plan. Private medical insurance is employer funded for Manager grade and above, and those who have been with the company for 5 years or more. However, there is still the opportunity for those not eligible to purchase Benenden healthcare assistance.

My Charitable Giving

Payroll giving is a tax efficient method of supporting the charity of your choice.  Employees can donate any amount from £10 or more each month to a UK charity or to organisations recognised by HMRC as charitable, including hospital appeals, school associations places of worship, scout groups and other similar bodies.

Requirements

Graduates*

- Obtained or expect a 2:1 or 1st class degree

- 280 UCAS points from your best 3 A Level subjects (not including General Studies) or equivalent achieved in one sitting

- Grade B or above in GCSE Maths and English Language

School Leavers*

- 280 UCAS points from your best 3 A Level subjects (not including General Studies) or equivalent achieved in one sitting

- Grade B or above in GCSE Maths and English Language

*These requirements can vary depending on the vacancy. Please refer to the entry requirements on individual job descriptions. Our Accounting & Outsourcing and Internal Audit roles require a 2:2 degree / lower UCAS points.

The online application form can be accessed online or via the apply button and the completed form should be accompanied by a covering letter. Graduate employees start in September each year. All candidates undertake verbal and numerical reasoning aptitude tests, after a full review of their applications.

Selected candidates, whose applications clear the initial review and testing stage, attend a personal interview with a manager or member of the graduate recruitment team. The interview includes a discussion on an analytical case and competency/skill-based questions.

The final step is to attend an interview with a partner and meet the team at the selected office. Candidates may also be asked to complete individual and group written exercises and successful candidates will be sent offers within a week.
